Dr. Wasim Iqbal appointment as the Director of Afghanistan National Water and Environmental Research Center (ANWERC)

Water Engineering and Management (WEM) program would like to Congratulate WEM Alumnus, Dr. Wasim Iqbal (AIT/WEM, 2010) for his appointment as the Director of Afghanistan National Water and Environmental Research Center (ANWERC). WEM program wishes him good luck for his tenure.

Afghanistan National Water and Environmental Research Center (ANWERC) is the only governmental recognized research center regarding the water and environmental issues and challenges of Afghanistan. This center was established with the decree of President Ashraf Ghani to work under the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Afghanistan. ANWERC has a link with all universities in Afghanistan, and recognized as a platform for research activities.
