WEM has well-equipped laboratories to support teaching, research and consulting activities. The research facilities include Soil and Water Laboratory, Hydraulics Laboratory and Irrigation Experimental Field.

WEM also manages a Hydro-Meteorological Station for instructional purposes. The station provides daily climatological data which can be used by AIT students for their research. Apart from these facilities, students also have easy access to other laboratories such as Remote Sensing and GIS, Geotechnical, Structural, Environmental and others.

IREM Laboratory (Soil and Water Lab)

  • Soil samplers
  • Tensiometers
  • Soil moisture meters
  • Water quality samplers
  • Soil texture analysis
  • Soli hydraulic conductivity measurements
  • Soil water retention properties, matrix flux potential etc.
  • Water quality measurements (Do, pH, Cond., Salinity, etc.)

 Hydrometeorological Station

  • Air temperature
  • Atmospheric pressure
  • Air humidity (Psychrometer)
  • Relative humidity (Meteograph)
  • Soil temperature
  • Wind speed and direction
  • Evaporation
  • Rainfall
  • Sunshine duration
