The European Commission mentioned “PEARL Project” in their success stories where AIT (WEM) as a project partner applied PEARL concepts to a case study on Thailand’s ‘Great Flood’ of 2011.
The article also mentioned Dr. Sutat Weesakul, adjunct faculty at WEM/AIT and Director of the Hydro and Agro Informatics Institute (HAII) who stated that AIT provided technical support to the case study and serves as co-advisors on the final report. AIT being one of the project partners from coastal areas around the world got involved in developing adaptive risk management strategies.
