On February 20, 2023, a delegation from Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth (MPKV), Rahuri, India, visited the Water Engineering and Management (WEM) department at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) to explore potential collaboration opportunities. The delegation, organized by the GIC under a World Bank-funded project, included:
- Professor Sunil D. Gorantiwar, Director of Research and Head of Agricultural Engineering (and Principal Investigator),
- Dr. Pawan L. Kulwal, Technical Officer to Vice Chancellor and Professor of Plant Biotechnology, and
- Dr. Mukund G. Shinde, Professor of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering (and Co-PI).
During their visit, the delegation discussed several possible collaboration activities, including a Dual Master’s degree program, research collaboration, and outreach activities with AIT.
